Awkwafina
American actor and musician Awkwafina made her debut with humorous songs that dealt with the issue of sexuality and race with the most outrageous comedy perspective prior to broadening her presence to Hollywood. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her first musical exposure. She performed on the trumpet. After that, she took hip-hop and classical training. In college she focused on her studies and majored in women's and journalism. In a short period that was spent in Beijing She also studied Mandarin. Her focus was not in music until she finished her degree. After becoming famous through the Internet, her song My Vag was a reaction to the song of Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually made its way onto her album debut Yellow Ranger. Other hits on the internet that were viral include Queef song and the winking NYC Bitchehome tour, which cost $. The latter was associated with Awkwafina's NYC, a 2015 travel guide. She began pursuing acting as a profession after having completed her two previous ventures as a musician and author. Alongside early series such as Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films like Neighbors in Storks. In 2018 she scored breakout parts in several high-profile films like Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released the EP In Fina We Trust.
