She was captain of both the 2012 and 2016 U.S. Olympic women's gymnastics teams. She received a gold medal in team competitions during the 2016 Olympics. Gabby Douglas, her teammate, also was awarded gold. Raisman also earned silver in the individual all around and for floor exercise. Raisman was awarded silver medals in the individual all-around as well as the floor exercise. She was also two-time champion of the national championships in floor exercise (2012 and 2015), and the champion of the national team in balance beam in 2012. She was also an Olympic medalist five times at the national championships for all-around (silver and bronze in 2010 2011 and 2015). She was inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (2013).
